Children Welcome Here!
Your visit to the Library is an excellent way to encourage a love of books and reading! Missoula Public Library offers a variety of materials and programs selected especially for children. Everything from board books and picture books for the younger ones, on up to chapter books, non-fiction, and graphic novels for the older. You can even find videos, magazines, and books and music on tape or CD.
Our programs range from storytimes for the very young, to a monthly afterhours program for the teenagers. Other special programs occur as the Library celebrates events throughout the year. Watch for these during National Library Week in April; National Library Card Signup Month and Banned Books Week in September, Teen Read Week in October; and Children’s Book Week in November.
