In celebration of Earth Day, Missoula Public Library, spectrUM Discovery Area, Families First Learning Lab, UM Living Lab, and MCAT invite you to participate in a day full of activates and fun. Get involved and learn all about how you can help the Earth with AUOR activities for the whole family.
Special Earth Day Story Time
Art Box | 10:30–11:30am
Story Time is for children ages 3 and older and their caregivers. Join us for a special Story Time with books about our amazing planet, then stick around for a related art project.
Think Twice: Recycle and Reuse
Um Living Lab | 12–2pm
Children of all ages are invited to celebrate Earth Day with a recyclables sorting game and co-creating a monumental structure from recyclable and reused items to honor Mother Earth.
Earth Day 33rd Anniversary Party
MCAT | 12–4pm
Join MCAT in celebrating 33 years of video production and distribution in Missoula. We will be serving up an Earth Day themed video history of Missoula. Kids will animate genuine Montana soil and MCAT will be offering light refreshment to all who stop by.
Decorating and Planting Flowers
Families First Learning Lab Classroom or Outside (Weather Permitting) | 12:30–2pm
Families First invites kiddos and families to decorate a recycled pot and plant a flower in honor of Earth Day. We will be out in the grass on the south side of the building weather permitting.
Biology and Earth Day
spectrUM | 2–6pm
Celebrate Earth Day with spectrUM and try your hands at biology experiments from 2 to 6pm. No registration required.
