Induction Cooking Class with Climate Smart Missoula
Get Lit! Program Series
Come learn about cooking with induction and how it differs from gas and regular electric methods. We’ll be making potato leek soup (GF, veg) and talking about how induction works and why it matters for our health and the planet. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to check out your very own induction cooking kit from the library after!
Instructor Shanti Devins, is the program director at Climate Smart Missoula and works closely with the City and County to implement their joint Electrify Missoula campaign. Electrification is one of our most promising and accessible climate solutions (from cooking to home cooling) and Shanti is passionate about embracing these solutions in a way that’s fun, creative and helps foster a narrative of hope for the future. When she’s not telling you about heat pumps, she can be found on the dance floor or lost in a good crossword puzzle.
