About the Artist:

Eliza Redmann is a sculptural artist and founder of Folded Poetry design studio based in Durham, North Carolina. Eliza’s work is informed by experiencing disability after a car crash and traumatic brain injury upended her health, personal life, and career in architecture. Art has been the primary driver behind the recreation of Eliza’s health and the reimagining of her life’s purpose. Folded Poetry explores form, light, color and shadow through innovation and material study. The work challenges the viewer to perceive outside of what is normal or traditional, just as Eliza herself must now live, adapt, and navigate the world in new ways.
