Project Community Connect 2024
- March 27
- 10AM–3PM
- All Levels and MPL Parking Lot
PCC is designed to provide core-services and hospitality to community members experiencing resource insecurity. PCC is a one-stop-shop, with many community providers and organizations coming together to help meet our neighbors’ basic needs while they work towards obtaining stability- all in a safe, welcoming, and stigma-free environment.
Please note: Project Community Connect will be held throughout the entirety of the library building and will have an impact on MPL’s services for the day. There will be no passport processing during the event hours. Parking will be limited.
In partnership with Missoula First United Methodist Church and Food Not Bombs, we will be offering a pre-Project Community Connect breakfast at First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, located on 300 E Main St. (Use Main St. entrance. Elevator accessible entrance in alley behind the church.)
Free hot breakfast and beverages served 8am-10am.
We are currently recruiting volunteers and searching for volunteer leadership for this incredible event! Volunteer opportunities for this event include:
- Traffic and parking
- Guest services
- Serving food and refreshments
- Assist with setup and cleanup to ensure the event runs smoothly
- Coat check
No matter your skills or availability, there’s a place for you to volunteer at PCC. Every helping hand makes a difference in creating a safe, stigma-free environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
Please use this link to check the schedule and sign up to volunteer at Project Community Connect! Volunteer orientations will be held on Tuesday, March 26th from 9-9:45am and 5:30-6:15pm at the Missoula Public Library. Volunteers only need to attend one orientation!
Do you consider yourself a leader? Love meeting new people? Working as a volunteer lead at PCC might be the job for you! If you are interested in working as one of eight volunteer leads, please contact the volunteer coordinators for more information. Volunteer leads will need to be present for an orientation on Monday, March 25th, both general volunteer orientations on Tuesday, March 26th, and the majority of the event on Wednesday, March 27th.
“These are our neighbors, and we have to do what we can to keep letting them know that they matter. I think that’s the biggest thing. That they matter, we care, and we’re trying to do something about it.”
Theresa Williams, Project Community Connect 2020
