Kids Events

February 27 @ 4 PM and Feb 28 @ 10 AM in the Large Meeting Room

Our popular Teddy Bear Sleepover returns! Bring a favorite stuffed animal to a special story time in the Dragon Rug Area. Eat a snack, listen to a story, and enjoy a Families First Learning Lab exhibit  before tucking your friends in for the night. The next morning, pick up your friends in the Large Meeting Room. There will be a light breakfast snack as you watch a slide show of the sleepover shenanigans.

*Dolls and other “babies” are invited. Only one per child, please.

Play = Learning! Through play your child develops literacy and social skills.

Tiny Tales is for babies and toddlers ages 0 to 3.

Storytime is for preschoolers ages 3 to 6.

Lego Club

Please join us every Thursday from 3:30-5 PM on the Dragon Rug in the Children's Department. Lego and Duplo pieces provided. The only thing you need to bring is your imagination! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Special events occur throughout the year. You can watch for these during National Library Week in April, National Library Card Sign-up Month in September, Banned Books Week in October, and more.

Events include make and take crafts, our annual Christmas cookie decorating and craft event, a Teddy Bear Sleepover, Dr. Seuss Birthday celebration, and a Peeps contest.

Information about upcoming events can be found at the library, on our website, and through many mainstream media sources.
